The incense holder is made of black pottery by Tibetan artisans. The clay scooped out of the deep mountain is mixed with powder ground from stones. In the natural light, the clay is sculpted into objects, left to dry in the shades, and then polished by cobblestones to every curve of the surface until smooth. In the early morning mist, the wares are brought out of the kiln, glow serenely.
